After my recent irritating and frustrating experience with Shack Shack (Read that Post HERE), I have become even more obsessed with this subject, thus, after arriving home with my Pop Burger take-out last night, I thought I would share with you what a correctly prepped take-out meal looks like (and yes, it was not just warm after a 30 block cab ride, it was hot).
As you can see from the top photo, Shake Shack uses a wax coated type bag, NOT a paper bag. Paper Bags bad. Greasy food. Bag breaks. Common sense.

As you can also see in the first photo, the fries AND shake are covered in Tinfoil. No tinfoil = cold fries all over bag + leaky shake all over bag. Common sense.
In the lower photo you can see that the burgers come in a coated cardboard container that closes completely, AND, inside there is a sheet of wax paper to seal it and to keep the heat and grease inside the box. Common sense.
There are a few variations that will work, but I think you all get the point, and you don't need to have gone to the Culinary Institute of America to figure this out.
This concludes our take-out prep lesson for today.
Oh, and I hope you were paying attention Danny Meyer...there will be a test.
